Automatic Orange Juicer

Company History:

In 1945, Automatic Orange Juicer built the first automatic juicer that was used in restaurants and hotels, primarily in New York City. Over the years, it became very popular, reducing manual labor and enhancing the fresh image.  The product line included various citrus juicers, namely the Models Sweet 16 (S-16), W-46, W-47, W-48, TG Jr. and TGA.  In later years, the Model V-10 Fruit and Vegetable juicer joined the product line.

By 1998, there were a number of changes in the merchandising of fresh squeezed juice in the supermarket industry. Fresh ‘n Squeeze (formally FMC) came into the marketplace and their retail juicer was designed around the specifications of their industrial juicer which had been in operation for more than 50 years. With this technology, the yield was a minimum of two quarts more per 40 lb. case, with no expendable parts to replace, and thus began the demise of Automatic Orange Juicer. The juicers are no longer manufactured, and although there are wear parts still available, the technology is outdated.  Reconditioned machines can still be found in different parts of the country.

While Automatic Orange Juicer was in business, Mulligan Associates, Inc. was a national distributor for over 20 years. When Automatic Orange Juicer closed in the late 1990’s, we continued our broad level of knowledge and experience in the fresh juice concept and represented other products with new and improved technology that is simpler to use and maintain. Our Fresh ‘n Squeeze (formally FMC) citrus juicers are exciting, eye catching products that will last for years to come. *Note: the V-5 and V-10 was made by Rotor in Switzerland and marketed in the United States under the Automatic Orange Juicer name. The Vitamat is the same product but improved and redesigned with high yield and greater reliability.
